Setting up FT3000 and version 3.0.1 on Windows 7
This is a step by step guide for setting up the FT3000 on a new
Windows 7 or 8 PC
PROBLEM:
Computer being updated from XP to WIN 7 or 8 will not save new data.
New PC does not have a 9-pin serial port.
With the current rush to abandon Windows XP in light of Win 7 and 8, many of our customers who still own the ruggedly built FitTester 3000 are encountering obstacles to connecting and communicating this instrument with PCs that do not have 9-pin serial connections. The attached document will provide all you need to know to keep that instrument running on modern computer platforms.
While we will continue to service and calibrate this instrument, available parts are limited and the ever-changing world of computers makes compatibility unpredictable.
